The New is Breaking Forth

The Lord is bringing new life into the barren and empty wasteland. As my Spirit rose up in anticipation, I realised that today was the day that the new was beginning to break forth in the Heavenly realm. The Lord then showed me His final product, rising my excitement for what I had to look forward to. It was only a matter of time before I begin to see in manifest in the physical.

Isaiah 41:18-20

I will open up rivers for them on the high plateaus. I will give them fountains of water in the valleys. I will fill the desert with pools of water. Rivers fed by springs will flow across the parched ground. I will plant trees in the barren desert—cedar, acacia, myrtle, olive, cypress, fir, and pine. I am doing this so all who see this miracle will understand what it means— that it is the Lord who has done this, the Holy One of Israel who created it.

The words “squeeze” and “breaking through” are the words on my heart, mind and lips today. As I was driving this morning, I felt the anticipation rise in my spirit - an excitement for what the Lord was doing. As I prayed, I couldn’t stop saying - exclaiming and shouting - these words “it’s breaking through, it’s breaking forth” over and over again, “it’s the squeeze.”

I felt like I was being 'squeezed' physically too. I felt that I had reached a point of extreme pressure and was at the tightest point in my delivery process. I had endured every attack possible and kept receiving blows from the enemy, hoping that I would retreat. They were attacks that made the miracle that the Lord had promised look even more bleak and impossible. But, when the pressure came in from all angles and all I wanted to do was cry and give in and crumple under the weight and uncertainty, it was all the more reason to look towards Jesus - the One who is Faithful and True -, to declare His word louder and to know that this pressure was the culminating moment of my breakthrough.

Later on, the Lord showed me this beautiful image. I saw a trickle of water breaking - squeezing - through the parched ground. From the crack in the soil, it began to bubble and rise and flow across the desert plain.

Within a matter of moments, the Lord showed me the final product; a luscious, vibrant land, like Eden. The rivers were filled with the freshest water that you could imagine. They were bright blue and sparkling. I could sense the refreshment they brought and taste it just by looking towards the water. The air was fresh and light - almost like a light mist flooded the air - and it was the perfect temperature. Large trees lined the river and their branches were heavy hanging, filled with crops and perfectly ripe, dense fruit. The land had both shade and sun, but there was no ‘darkness’. The fields were soft and welcoming - the perfect place to rest your head. It was truly paradise - a place that can’t be described with mere words. A place that can only be understood by spiritual sight.

I stood with Jesus, looking out across the land in astonishment. He turned to me and said, “It’s coming,” in a nonchalant, matter-of-fact tone. I said, “I know, I know! It’s coming!” Jumping up and down, excitedly. He chuckled and smiled warmly, “It’s coming,” He repeated.

I stood in awe, blown away by the beauty of this land, struggling to understand how it was once a deserted wasteland.

He turned to me again, and said, “Your prayers did this.” He could sense what I was thinking - “No Lord, You did this” - without me having to say a word. “But, you chose to partner with Me," He said. Tears rose to my eyes. It was such an honour to be used by Him in such a way and a privilege to partner with Him.

“Ange, you will never lack again,” He said assuredly, speaking to the depths of my soul. He knew how I’d felt my whole life - lacking. I had felt left behind, forgotten, abandoned and rejected. I had felt that I had given up and surrendered so much. I had felt like I had lost so much. But, as I looked out across the land, I knew that He was right. Here, in a land like Eden, how could I ever lack?

In my contemplation, when I thought it couldn’t get any better, He looked at me and whispered in my ear, “I’m so proud of you, my daughter.” His words wrapped me in a warm hug that filled the emptiness and sorrow of my soul with living water. I could feel His presence closer than my breath.

A sense of relief washed over me, I knew that the end of the battle that I had been facing was drawing near. I knew that the breakthrough that I had been praying and contending for was right around the corner. I knew that I was about to see the fulfilment of the Lord’s promises, some of which had been buried in sorrow, in ways that were far greater than I could have ever thought or imagined. I knew, with great resolve, that in the Spirit, the “new” was breaking forth and the rivers were rising from the parched ground. I knew that it was only a matter of time before I began to see it manifest in the physical, and I was brimming with excitement for what it would look like in my own life.

Friend, the same can be true for you today. If you have felt like you have been wandering in a barren wasteland, thirsty and in need of refreshment, He wants to bring His living water into your life. He wants to turn your life into Paradise and refresh your soul. He wants to rebuild your life - re-establishing a foundation on the ruins - and bring you into a land where you lack no thing. He wants to give you the rest that you need, in His fields on plenty. He wants to provide for you with an abundance of fruit.

We know that this is what Heaven will look and feel like. But, what the Lord is calling you to realise, is that it is available to you TODAY. He does not want you to have to wait until He takes you Home to realise the richness of life that He has to offer you. He wants to give it to you right now - to live in Paradise whilst you remain here, in your temporary home, on earth. He desires nothing more than to refresh your soul. He wants to transform your life, not just spiritually, but with physical blessing too.

Ezekial 36:34-36

The fields that used to lie empty and desolate in plain view of everyone will again be farmed. And when I bring you back, people will say, ‘This former wasteland is now like the Garden of Eden! The abandoned and ruined cities now have strong walls and are filled with people!’ Then the surrounding nations that survive will know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt the ruins and replanted the wasteland. For I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will do what I say.

Ezekiel 47:6-12

He asked me, “Have you been watching, son of man?” Then he led me back along the riverbank. When I returned, I was surprised by the sight of many trees growing on both sides of the river. Then he said to me, “This river flows east through the desert into the valley of the Dead Sea. The waters of this stream will make the salty waters of the Dead Sea fresh and pure. There will be swarms of living things wherever the water of this river flows. Fish will abound in the Dead Sea, for its waters will become fresh. Life will flourish wherever this water flows. Fishermen will stand along the shores of the Dead Sea. All the way from En-gedi to En-eglaim, the shores will be covered with nets drying in the sun. Fish of every kind will fill the Dead Sea, just as they fill the Mediterranean. But the marshes and swamps will not be purified; they will still be salty. Fruit trees of all kinds will grow along both sides of the river. The leaves of these trees will never turn brown and fall, and there will always be fruit on their branches. There will be a new crop every month, for they are watered by the river flowing from the Temple. The fruit will be for food and the leaves for healing.”
