He's Hovering

Updated: Jun 28, 2024

He is hovering, preparing to perform a mighty work - a mighty miracle. New Light is about to break forth and flood the atmosphere.

As I lay in my bed and closed my eyes, I heard the Holy Spirit whisper,

“I’m hovering over you.”

It was a very small, still whisper, that could have been easily missed, but I knew that it was True. As I began to lean into His voice, I meditated on that word - hover - and asked the Lord, “When you say hover, what do you mean?”

His Divine revelation filled my mind as He began to take me back to the moments before the start of Creation. I saw His Spirit hovering in the darkness over the earth and sat with Him in the anticipation. He said

“In this moment, what am I about to do?”

I leant in closer and saw through my Spiritual eyes.

“I am preparing to perform a great miracle, a mighty work,” He started, “I am about to create something out of nothing. I am about to breathe new life into something that is void and empty. I am about to bring order into chaos. I am about to set things into motion and set things right.”

As He began to reveal these things to me, I couldn’t help but agree. He had already told me that He was about to perform a mighty work, but He was just reminding me again, that He was getting ready. As I listened to His words, I began to speak them in prayer out into the atmosphere, coming into agreement with everything that He was saying. I declared all of the things that He had revealed to me in this moment over my life - and over everything that He wanted to do out of the overflow of my life. I took a hold of this word, this action of ‘hovering’, and prophesied it over me and the lives of many others.

As I lay my head on my pillow again, and prepared to drift off to sleep a second time, I felt the Holy Spirit right next to me - His nearness almost tangible - continuing to whisper into my ear.

“The time is now. The new is here. Arise, O sleeper! For the time of salvation has arrived. I am about to pour out my breath of life upon you.”

I turned in my bed, trying to go to sleep. He continued to whisper in string-on sentences, His voice persistent and full of promise.

“I am releasing the floodgates of Life, of new promise. I am unleashing Heaven. I am lifting you higher. Get ready, be prepared. Your streets will be filled once again. The time of judgement is over.”

Isaiah 52:1

Wake up, wake up, O Zion! Clothe yourself with strength. Put on your beautiful clothes, O holy city of Jerusalem, for unclean and godless people will enter your gates no longer.

Isaiah 60:1

"Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you."

Romans 13:11

This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.

Ephesians 5:14

for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, “Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”

I accepted His invitation into further revelation and sat up in my bed. It was almost midnight by this point. I pulled out my laptop and wrote down His words as He spoke. When I was finished, I climbed back into bed. I closed my eyes, ready to fall asleep for the third time. But the Lord continued,

“I want you to go and read that passage,” He directed.

To which I silently asked, “What passage?” But deep down I knew which He meant, as though He had impressed it on my heart. He said,

“Isaiah 60 and tell me what you see.”

Isaiah 60:1-2 NLT

“Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you. Darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the Lord rises and appears over you.”

I read the first two verses, and stopped in awe and wonder. “I see the Creation. I see You hovering and light breaking forth.”

Genesis 1:1-3 NLT

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.”

Isaiah 60 had been a chapter that God had led me to in the past few months. I knew that it was relevant for what He wanted to do in my life, but in that moment, it began to come to life in a whole new way.

I kept reading, and saw new promise. I saw reconciliation and restoration - of relationships, of wealth, of physical dwellings. I saw prosperity and victory. I saw God’s mercy and grace. I saw the redemption of those once defeated, rejected and despised, who God was now rising up in honour to new levels of authority and influence. I saw joy and praise - an everlasting hope, radiating from the glory of God. I saw righteousness. I see a ne

And He asked,

“Now how does this one conclude?”

To which I already knew, as the last fragment of the chapter had been pinned upon my mirror for the past three months, “At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen," I said.

“And, what did I just say to you?” He whispered.

“The time is now.”

Isaiah 60

1 “Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you.

Darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the Lord rises and appears over you.

All nations will come to your light; mighty kings will come to see your radiance.

“Look and see, for everyone is coming home! Your sons are coming from distant lands; your little daughters will be carried home.

Your eyes will shine, and your heart will thrill with joy, for merchants from around the world will come to you. They will bring you the wealth of many lands.

Vast caravans of camels will converge on you, the camels of Midian and Ephah. The people of Sheba will bring gold and frankincense and will come worshiping the Lord.

7 The flocks of Kedar will be given to you, and the rams of Nebaioth will be brought for my altars. I will accept their offerings, and I will make my Temple glorious.

“And what do I see flying like clouds to Israel, like doves to their nests?

They are ships from the ends of the earth, from lands that trust in me, led by the great ships of Tarshish. They are bringing the people of Israel home from far away, carrying their silver and gold. They will honor the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has filled you with splendor.

10 “Foreigners will come to rebuild your towns, and their kings will serve you.For though I have destroyed you in my anger, I will now have mercy on you through my grace.

11 Your gates will stay open day and night to receive the wealth of many lands. The kings of the world will be led as captives in a victory procession.

12 For the nations that refuse to serve you will be destroyed.

13 “The glory of Lebanon will be yours— the forests of cypress, fir, and pine—to beautify my sanctuary. My Temple will be glorious!

14 The descendants of your tormentors will come and bow before you. Those who despised you will kiss your feet. They will call you the City of the Lord, and Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

15 “Though you were once despised and hated, with no one traveling through you, I will make you beautiful forever, a joy to all generations.

16 Powerful kings and mighty nations will satisfy your every need, as though you were a child nursing at the breast of a queen. You will know at last that I, the Lord, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Israel.

17 I will exchange your bronze for gold, your iron for silver, your wood for bronze, and your stones for iron. I will make peace your leader and righteousness your ruler.

18 Violence will disappear from your land; the desolation and destruction of war will end. Salvation will surround you like city walls, and praise will be on the lips of all who enter there.

19 “No longer will you need the sun to shine by day, nor the moon to give its light by night, for the Lord your God will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.

20 Your sun will never set; your moon will not go down. For the Lord will be your everlasting light. Your days of mourning will come to an end.

21 All your people will be righteous. They will possess their land forever, for I will plant them there with my own hands in order to bring myself glory.

22 The smallest family will become a thousand people, and the tiniest group will become a mighty nation. At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.”
