chase and be chased

I chase God,

Like I chase the wind.

Believing I must find Him,

And catch Him,

As He moves, and morphs,

and meanders.

 

But in my chasing,

He is chasing me.

Always behind me,

Always in front of me,

Always beside me,

Ever surrounding me.

 

God is embracing me.

He is with me,

So close,

That He is part of me.

 

I need not chase,

For He has found me.

He has caught my soul,

like a springtime butterfly.

 

And in His finding,

In His capturing,

I have found Him.
